Well, there couldn't really have been anything else at number one... could there? It's the classic, iconic, most quintessentially 'James Bond' item there is. It's sleek, as beautiful as any of 007's women, and as jam-packed of gadgets as this very list. Originally, James Bond author Ian Fleming had placed 007 in a DB3, but the DB5 was Aston Martin's latest model at the time. Two DB5s were supplied for the filming of 1964's Goldfinger, one of which was fitted with a plethora of gadgets and weaponry by Oscar-winning special effects expert John Stears. Bulletproof windshield, machine guns, oil slick, tyre slashers, and most famous of all... "Ejector seat? You're joking." But as Q quickly reminds us, he never jokes about his work. Such was the popularity of the DB5 seen in Goldfinger that it became Bond's signature vehicle, later to be seen in a handful of other instalments (perhaps most notably in 2012's Skyfall, in which the DB5 is - heartbreakingly - destroyed). It has been dubbed "the most famous car in the world", with one of the original film cars recently selling at auction for over 2.5 million pounds. What we wouldn't give to press that shiny red button on the gear stick...
