8. Amanda Young - Shot (SAW III)
Amanda's storyline across the first three Saw films is one of the most interesting the entire series. From trapped drug addict in the first film, triumphant apprentice in the second and ultimately sympathetic antagonist in the third, it was quite the rollercoaster for Amanda.
As Saw III's finale rolls around, Amanda continues to spiral out of control. Disillusioned with John Kramer and his philosophy and envious of his relationship with Dr. Lynn Denlon, she shoots the good doctor right as Jeff comes into the room. John explains how the two of them are married and how he had designed everything in the film to happen because of how she had broken 'the rules' by building inescapable traps and generally being quite nasty.
Amanda is shot in the neck by Jeff (the one instance where Jeff acts something resembling decisive) and bleeds out in front of Kramer. Just like a Shakespearean tragedy, Amanda's death is poetic and eerily tragic.
