1. Nick Gets Scalped & Ripped Apart - Bone Tomahawk

Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell) and his deputy Nick (Evan Jonigkeit) have been kidnapped by Troglodytes, and Hunt is forced to watch as Nick is brought before him, stripped naked, scalped in graphic detail, the scalp is then hammered into his mouth with a chisel, he's held upside down as his genitals are mutilated with a hatchet, and finally he's torn in half, his guts spilling out all over the floor. The death scene has already earned a fair degree of notoriety online for its graphic content, even from those who haven't seen the rest of the film. The excellent practical effects combined with the sheer graphic detail make it a nauseating proposition for even the most well-trained gorehounds.
