20 Best Movies Of 2016

6. Captain America: Civil War

The Nice Guys
Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios nailed it once again with one of the MCU's very best efforts to date, a thrilling blockbuster that manages to compliment its insane action sequences with an intelligent engagement with the notions of collateral damage and government oversight.

Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans have never been better as Iron Man and Captain America, largely because the material has never been more dramatically urgent.

Civil War also makes good on introducing Black Panther and Spider-Man to the MCU, and with Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo making for an expectation-defying villain, the end result feels like one of the most meticulously-crafted and smoothly controlled MCU movies yet.

And above all else, it left everyone hella hyped for Infinity War.
