19. Incredibles 2

If Incredibles 2 didn't quite meet the brilliance of its iconic predecessor, Brad Bird nevertheless avoided most of the belated sequel pitfalls, giving fans one of the year's most visually stunning and viscerally exciting animated offerings.

Yes, the plot twist is ludicrously predictable and it surprisingly decides to exist in a mid-2000s bubble rather than pass self-aware commentary on the superhero genre, but where it counts most it delivers in spades.

The beautifully rendered action, the charming characters and Pixar's expected human touch are all here in great abundance, sure to leave fans hoping that Bird won't make them wait another 14 years for Incredibles 3.

Above all else, that Jack-Jack/raccoon fight sure was something, right?
