20 Best Movies Of 2019
12. Long Shot
In 2018, way too many people slept on the brilliant Game Night and only seem to come around to its greatness very late, even with initially good box office returns.
A film that is just as good came out this year and deserves just as much attention though made basically nothing at the box office and is classed as one of the failures of the year in those terms.
Starring Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron, who should have been more of a draw, Long Shot is the charming, infectious tale of a presidential candidate who falls for one of her writers and who, naturally, is everything a presidential candidate should be avoiding. In the end, it's quite conventional, but the performances are great and the charm in the central romance more than sells it.
