10. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Top Gun Maverick Everything Everywhere All At Once Banshees of Inisherin
Netflix

Rian Johnson impressively follows up his much-loved murder-mystery Knives Out with a sequel that basically matches it - or gets incredibly close, at least.

Glass Onion gathers one of the year's finest ensemble casts for a dizzyingly funny and genuinely involving mystery, with Daniel Craig's superb Benoit Blanc back to shuttle the chess pieces around with southern fried charm once more.

Johnson's devilishly witty writing again wins out here, crafting a labyrinthine, elliptical mystery which veers off in a number of unexpected directions - directions which the marketing has thankfully concealed for the most part.

Making the most of its gorgeous Greek shooting locations, Glass Onion manages to share DNA with its predecessor while feeling quite different in a number of ways.

Needless to say, Johnson's attempt to spin Knives Out into a hit franchise has been a storming success, and audiences will be lining up for a third go-around whenever it materialises.
