20 Best Netflix Original Horror Movies - Ranked
19. In The Tall Grass
While this adaptation of Stephen King and his son Joe Hill's horror novella In the Tall Grass didn't quite live up to some of Netflix's recent screen translations of the horror author's work, it is nevertheless a handsome, pacy rendition of a neat concept.
Given that the majority of the film is confined to a single location - the titular grass, that is - director Vincenzo Natali (Cube) wrings an impressive amount of style and suspense out of it, no matter that the payoff doesn't quite live up to the taut build-up.
Horror mainstay Patrick Wilson is a lot of fun here, and though it might ultimately get a little too barmy for its own good in the end, it's still an intriguingly unique genre riff.
