20 Best Netflix Original Movies Of 2018 - Ranked
20. Bird Box
Just edging out Dumplin' for the #20 spot is this flawed yet entertaining adaptation of Josh Malerman's 2014 post-apocalyptic novel.
Susanne Bier's atmospheric direction is bolstered by a fantastic performance from Sandra Bullock as a mother attempting to keep her kids safe amid an invasion by extraterrestrial entities who will kill anyone that looks at them.
More than just "A Quiet Place for sight", Bird Box offers up intermittently riveting ruminations on humanity in crisis, even if it doesn't quite make the most of its spectacular cast and sometimes feels a little too generic for its own good.
With Netflix reporting 45 million views in its first week alone, though, it's clearly been a huge hit for them.
