20 Best Performances In MCU History (So Far)
18. Michael Keaton - Adrian Toomes/Vulture
One movie was all the great Michael Keaton needed to make a spot on this list, as his portrayal of beloved Spidey villain Vulture deserves to rank alongside the likes of Willem Dafoe's turn as The Green Goblin or Alfred Molina's as Doctor Octopus.
A bitter enemy of Tony Stark and a loving family man turned to crime to provide for his nearest and dearest, Keaton finds a raw likability within Adrian Toomes, selling his turn to villainy as a necessary evil done with good intentions, despite the damage he's caused.
Throughout Spider-Man: Homecoming, he acts as controlling and determined, but once it's revealed Toomes is in fact the father of Peter Parker's crush Liz, Keaton's performance reaches a whole new level of brilliant.
Given a car drive/interrogation scene where Toomes begins to suss-out Peter's secret, Keaton is utterly terrifying and morally torn, giving a depth to the character many MCU antagonists are sorely lacking.
