20 Best & Worst Movies From 2015 Oscar Nominees

19. Meryl Streep

Best: Sophie's Choice (1982) The fact that Streep has been nominated more times than the rest of her Into The Woods cast put together doesn't take away from the achievement of doing it again, but the performance is not one of her best. It's a pantomime gimmick, frankly. But looking back to her fourth nomination yields her best ever performance: the exposed nerve brilliance and unthinkable horror of Sophie's Choice. Worst: Evening (2007) Evening on the other hand is an insufferable, self-important ball of nothingness that takes a couple of hours to get precisely nowhere.
