9. Star Wars Spin-Off

Release Date: December 16, 2016. Who's Involved: Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) directs, while Chris Weitz (Antz, About A Boy, The Golden Compass) writes the script. Felicity Jones was just recently announced to be playing the lead role...whatever that is. What's The Story?: Absolutely no idea at the moment. It's widely believed that the movie will likely be a Boba Fett solo outing, though Jones' casting does raise a few question marks about that, unless she is a new female character who acts as another protagonist. Will It Be Any Good?: There's already lots of talent mounting up for this one, and hopefully it'll keep the franchise's momentum chugging along after the (hopefully) successful opening of Star Wars Episode VII. Disney are going to be very protective of the series moving forward, so there's a good chance it'll work.
