20 Biggest WTF Movie Moments Of 2023 (So Far)

10. Cursed M.O.D.O.K. - Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania

Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania as a whole was just a huge letdown, but things got truly freaky-deaky when the much-hyped villain M.O.D.O.K. was revealed to be none other than Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll) from the first Ant-Man.

As it turns out, he survived his apparently fatal encounter with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in the original movie, his bodily proportions being warped when his Yellowjacket suit was sabotaged, but eventually being salvaged by Kang (Jonathan Majors), who built him a new robotic suit.

The kicker, though, is the nightmare-inducing design of M.O.D.O.K. in the movie - that is, taking Corey Stoll's digitally scanned face and awkwardly squashing it into a helmet.

At best it looks laughable, at worst it looks genuinely concerning, and didn't exactly combat the argument that Marvel Studios probably isn't giving their VFX artists enough time or money to deliver adequate work.
