20 Characters Most Changed From The Comics In The MCU
15. Blackout
There have been two characters named Blackout in the comic books, one of which was a half-demon, but the one that was portrayed in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the human character Marcus Daniels. In the comic books, Daniels is a laboratory assistant to Dr. Abner Croit - a physicist who had the aim of building a device capable of tapping into energies from other dimensions. An accident in the laboratory engulfed Daniels in the extra-dimensional energy known as the Darkforce and he gained the power to manipulate it in ways that gave him energy blast capabilities, portal creation capabilities and flight. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Daniels had a similar accident when carrying out Darkforce experiments (which were never shown on screen) and it gave him slightly different abilities to his comic book counterpart. He could absorb the energy of things around him, including the kinetic energy of projectiles that were fired at him. He could also unleash powerful blasts of Darkforce energy. He did not, however, wear the silly costume that the comic book version does.
