20 Comic Book Films You Should Die Before You See

15. Steel

Constantine Hell
Warner Bros. Pictures

Released in the same year as Batman & Robin, Steel is the movie that attempted to turn former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal into a superhero and failed miserably.

Acting limitations aside, Shaq is 7 foot tall in his socks, so when a 7 foot tall African-American superhero suddenly appears on the streets of Los Angeles, the supporting cast (which includes Richard Roundtree and Charles Napier) are required to keep a straight face during the “shocking” revelation of his true identity.

If you’ve ever wanted to hear Roundtree say, “I’ll be dipped in s**t and rolled in breadcrumbs”, knock yourself out.
