20 Comic Book Movies That Are Practically Flawless
9. Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Few films are as important to the pre-MCU superhero phase as Spider-Man 2, the second and best instalment of Sam Raimi's genre-defying Spidey trilogy.
Suiting up for his most personal journey yet, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) comes face-to-face with the tragic but dangerous Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) whilst his best friend Harry desperately attempts to unmask the so-called hero that he believes murdered his father in the previous film.
Featuring a slew of remarkable performances, Spider-Man 2 is also notable for its epic action sequences, few of which have been surpassed in terms of their tension and iconography. The train scene alone is better than Spider-Man 3, let's be honest.
Save No Way Home, this is Spider-Man at his most tragic, selfless, and beaten down, and the results are utterly flawless.
