Christopher Nolan's final entry in his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, might have disappointed a fair few fans, but considering that it had to live up to the heady heights of The Dark Knight it isn't surprising that it felt anti-climactic to many. Not only is The Dark Knight the best of the trilogy, it's arguably one of the finest comic book movie adaptations of all time. A sterling performance from Heath Ledger as the Joker certainly drives the film forward, but Nolan's complete mastery of the action sequences are on a par in terms of high standards. The incredible chase sequence, shot in IMAX, showcases his knack for precisely staged action sequences which fully exploit the large canvas afforded by the big screen. The truck flipping stunt, in which the huge vehicle flips end to end in a city street, is one of the boldest stunts of all time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCQxhof9RlI
