Running down the side of a building in Who Am I? might have got Jackie Chan from A to B fairly quickly, but dropping off the side of a building is bound to be quicker. Project A stars Chan along with Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao - two other legendary action heroes - as they take on a gang of pirates in nineteenth century Hong Kong. For sheer unadulterated chase thrills the bicycle chase has never been matched, but it's the clock tower fall emerges as the craziest stunt in the movie. An homage to Harold Lloyd's Safety Last! (more on that later), Chan hangs from the minute hand of the clock before plummeting to the ground with only a couple of flimsy awnings to help break his fall. Chan felt the need to do the drop three times to get it right - it's the kind of dedication that perhaps only a slightly crazy person would possess.
