If anyone looked like they might be capable of taking over the mantle of Jackie Chan as the preeminent martial artist stuntman role, Tony Jaa was the man. Lithe, athletic and an incredibly gifted fighter, he possesses both Chan's skill and charisma. That his career hasn't quite taken off as people had hoped after the release of Ong-Bak is certainly a disappointment, but that doesn't detract from the great work he's already done. Ong-Bak is full of excellent fight scenes, but it's the chase on foot through the city streets which sticks in the memory, with leap after leap requiring split second timing. Try not to get out of breath watching the clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hvZB8O_vZ4
