4. Jackie Chan - Armour Of God

During the 1980s Jackie Chan was at the peak of his career - each film he released crammed in more amazing stunts and fight sequences than many other action stars could hope to pull off in their entire filmography. One of the highlights was Armour of God, which saw Chan traveling Europe as he searched for the eponymous treasure. The base jump onto a balloon which closes the movie is certainly impressive and the fights throughout some of the best you'll ever see, but it is the deceptively simple-looking jump from one wall to another via a bendy tree which has gone down in stunt history as the one which nearly cost the actor his life. Chan got it right the first time but, ever the perfectionist, insisted on giving it another go...
