20 Craziest Stunts In Movie History

3. Rick Sylvester - The Spy Who Loved Me

Another James Bond movie with a fantastic opening sequence for fans of stunts is without a doubt The Spy Who Loved Me. Roger Moore might not have inhabited the role with quite the same amount of effortless cool as Sean Connery, but Moore-era Bond was still campy fun with plenty of action. The opening scene sees Bond being pursued by a legion of machine gun-wielding villains on the slopes of Asgard Peak in Canada. The chase itself is exhilarating as it is - then Bond flies over the edge of a cliff and starts plummeting to his death before deploying his parachute. Rick Sylvester performed the stunt and earned a cool $30,000 for his troubles - not bad for a day's work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw77HagbeHM
