20 Creepiest Stephen King Movie Moments

13. Vampire At The Window - Salem's Lot (1979)

Based on Stephen King's best selling novel, and directed by Tobe Hooper, Salem's Lot, which combined elements of both the vampire film and haunted house subgenres, was originally aired as a two-part mini-series, with a total run time of around 3 hours. A cut down movie version was also released. The plot revolves around Ben Mears (David Soul), who returns to his hometown, Salem's Lot, to write a novel. Mears eventually becomes fascinated by The Marsten House, and its two sinister new inhabitants, Mr Straker (James Mason), and Mr Barlow (Reggie Nalder). It isn€™t long before people start to disappear and die and you have a traditional vampire story on your hands. King's classic vampire tale has plenty of creepy moments, but one scene in particular featuring a boy seeing his now-vampiric friend floating up to his bedroom window is particularly hard to shake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV1V0U41HI4
