20 Creepy Movie Kids To Put You Off Parenting

1. Damien Thorn - The Omen (1976)

the omen original kid Number one because who the heck wants the Antichrist as their kid? Robert and Katherine Thorn are encouraged to take the infant Damien as their own child after their newborn baby dies. Katherine instinctively knows that there is something very wrong with Damien. His nanny commits suicide, a priest approaches the couple to warn them about Damien's sinister origins but somehow he is impaled by a lightning rod. All of these crazy things are going on, but Robert refuses to believe the worst about his son. After an accident involving Damien leads to Katherine having a miscarriage, Robert dons his Sherlock Holmes hat. He discovers a jackal's corpse in Damien's real mother's grave and the truth about Damien's origin. Robert and Katherine's child was purposefully killed in order that they raise Damien. He also displays the mark of the Devil - the number 666. The nanny, Mrs Blaylock, has an unhealthy love for and attachment to Damien. She stands by as he pushes Katherine out of the window, thus killing her. Robert thankfully decides that he has had enough of Damien's antics and goes to kill him with some sacred daggers. Unfortunately Robert is shot before he can exterminate the brat. The last thing we see is Damien smiling at the camera as his parents are lowered into the ground. Rotten little sod. Any child that can instigate hangings, impalement, decapitation is obviously one to be avoided. That is even before the fact that he is the Antichrist. The film slowly builds up an atmosphere of dread and doom as the Thorns slowly uncover the truth about their darling boy. Robert cannot believe that Damien could be evil and his dawning realisation that he is the Antichrist is horrifying to watch because we already know that the worst is going to happen. To top the creepy kid factor off, we learn at the end of the film that Damien is under the care of the President of the USA. No wonder he is looking so smug at his parents' funeral - the potential to wreak Satanic mischief on the world is one step closer and we thank the Lord it is only a film. Well let the President take him, Damien is not a child I would want guardianship over. Damien is inherently evil and in his Satanic wickedness, he is the ultimate creepy kid.
