20 Most Critically Reviled Films Of 2014

3. The Legend Of Hercules

The Legend Of Hercules3% - 71 Reviews 2014 saw Dwayne €œThe Rock€ Johnson finally take on the part he was born to play, as he starred in Brent Ratner's new take on Hercules. The twelve tasks never looked so high budget! He fought a lion at one point! There was slow motion! It was mindless , entertaining popcorn fare! It's probably the best thing Ratner ever did! That wasn't the only Herc film this year, though. There was also The Legend Of Hercules, starring somebody you've never heard of (Kellan Lutz) and directed by Renny Harlin, who's been in director jail since the total bomb Cuththroat Island. Doesn't look like he's breaking out any time soon on the basis of this low-budget knock-off. Choice review quote: €œThe film opens on a huge battle in the Greek city of Argos, but it often ends up feeling like the director bought it cheap at the high street namesake.€ (SFX Magazine)
