20 Doctor Who Actors Who Have Been In Star Wars (& 2 Who Will Be)
4. Dave Prowse
For those who read the credits at the end of films, Prowse is best known for being the body of Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, and one of the best things in all of the Star Wars franchise. But Prowse only filled out the iconic suit of armour in the original trilogy. For Revenge of the Sith, Hayden Christensen was fitted with a specially tailored, smaller suit, complete with extensions to bring him up to Prowse's height of 6 ft 6 ins. David Prowse also guest starred as a monster in Doctor Who back in 1972. The bodybuilder actor was the man with the impressive physique and a Minotaur head, trying to spear a bullfighting Jon Pertwee with his horns in a chamber deep below Atlantis in The Time Monster. Those weren't the only times Prowse was involved with sci-fi, though. He also played a bodyguard in the TV adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (he's the guy in the OTT suit stopping Ford from chatting with Hotblack at Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe). And to British people over a certain age, he will always be the Green Cross Code Man, a superhero in infomercials who explained to children how they should safely cross roads.
