20 Easter Eggs In Spider-Man Films You Didn't Notice
8. Phil LaMarr Cameo (Spider-Man 2)
Pretty much everyone remembers the hilarious scene in Spider-Man 2 where Spidey takes the elevator and ends up having a conversation with his fellow passenger, who remarks that the suit looks uncomfortable. Parker replies with the hilarious, "Yeah, it's kind of itchy...and it rides up in the crotch a little bit, too." Though Hal Sparks ultimately played the part of the passenger, Phil LaMarr, known for his roles as Marvin in Pulp Fiction, Hermes in Futurama and Vamp in the Metal Gear Solid video game series, also auditioned for the part, and despite not getting it, ended up landing the consolation role of a train passenger during the brilliant runaway train sequence. Though the majority of the actors in the train carriage are merely extras, LaMarr sticks out like a sore thumb if you've seen Pulp Fiction enough (even with the passing of a decade since), even if his screen time is limited to a brief glimpse and nothing more.
