20 Most Epic Movie Moments Of 2014

3. The Elevator Brawl - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of the best, if not the best, film that Marvel has released to date. The film takes the cinematic endeavours of the genre in a more complex, serious, and dramatic direction. Though, this isn't to say that in deepening the plot the action sequences are lacking in any way. One of the action highlights of the film occurs when S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives are told to capture Cap - a scene which slowly unravels itself inside an elevator. Inside said elevator, Cap takes notice that - as he moves from floor to floor - it€™s being filled with large, broad-shouldered men, until he puts two and two together and realises that he€™s about to be ambushed. Polite as the Captain is, of course, he offers them the chance to get out, before he promptly takes them out. This scene perfectly displays both how skilled and human a fighter Steve Rogers really is. Sure he takes out three or four guys immediately, but the genuine pain he feels when he gets super-tasered in the stomach only humanises this super human.
