The Moment: Tom Hardy will take on the mammoth task of playing both gangster twins Ronnie and Reggie Kray in Brian Helgeland's upcoming film, which is sure to be one of the more interesting and audacious cinematic experiments this year. Why It Will Define 2015: Because it just might be the performance that finally earns Hardy the recognition he deserves, namely an Academy Award nomination. Following a slew of brilliantly volcanic performances, not to mention a sublime turn in 2013's Locke, the British actor deserves to be appreciated for his fine work, and arguably nothing he's done to date is quite as challenging as playing two of the most legendary gangsters in history. If the effects and overall execution works, then Hardy just might be onto a winner.
