20 Feel Good Movies You Need To Watch Now

16. Amélie (2001)

It’s difficult not to fall in love with Amélie – every aspect of this film is just so whimsically lovely. Audrey Tautou gives so much depth and charm to the titular character through her facial expressions and physicality, made all the more impressive by her lack of dialogue. Throughout the course of the movie, she helps those around her and in doing so, finds love of her own. And of course, what better place to have the film set than picturesque Paris?

Amélie has such a unique aesthetic – very few films have rivalled it in terms of effortless charm, beautiful warm colours and humour. It is a charming romance of the highest form and only gets better with each viewing.
