Potter Actors Featured: Robbie Coltrane, Imelda Staunton, Bill Nighy, Jim Broadbent

Arthur Christmas answers the question that countless parents have struggled to answer convincingly for years - how does Santa get around the world in just one night? The deal is that he actually has a high-tech operation hidden beneath the ice in the North Pole that makes his circumnavigation of the planet a doddle.

Saint Nick is voiced by Jim Broadbent here (Professor Slughorn), and his father - known as The Grandsanta - gets his gravitas from Bill Nighy (Rufus Scrimgeour). Mrs Claus is voiced by Imelda Staunton, who made your blood boil as Dolores Umbridge in the Potter movies, and the man behind everyone's favourite half-giant groundskeeper Robbie Coltrane lent his voice to one of Santa's Elves.

While the film performed averagely at the box office, Arthur Christmas holds an impressive 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, who praised Aardman Animations for broadening their humor and delivering a clever and earnest holiday film with surprising emotional strength.

Phil still hasn't got round to writing a profile yet, as he has an unhealthy amount of box sets on the go.
