Potter Actors Featured: Mark Williams, Tom Felton, Jim Broadbent

Long before he was making a high-school nemesis of Harry Potter as Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton was terrorising John Goodman. Adapted from Mary Norton's children's novel of the same name, The Borrowers was a critical success that marked Felton's first major movie role and his first collaboration with his future Potter colleagues.

Felton made his bow as Peagreen Clock, a Borrower living in secret with his sister Arietty, his mother Homily and his father Pod (played by future Horace Slughorn actor Jim Broadbent). The future of the Clocks is thrown into uncertainty when they learn that the home they inhabit is to be bulldozed by a shady land developer (Goodman).

Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley) also makes an appearance in The Borrowers as an exterminator called in to deal with the titular pests after their existence is discovered, adding a moment of mild peril to a movie that is a cut above your average family film.
