20 Films That Will Define 2016

9. Finding Dory

Release Date: 17th June (US) - 29th July (UK) Director: Andrew Stanton & Angus MacLane Starring: Ellen DeGeneres, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Diane Keaton "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..." Of all the Pixar sequels we have been keenly awaiting, a return to the big-blue is surely the largest. Finding Nemo auteur Stanton takes a firm seat back in the directorial chair with Pixar protégée MacLane for Finding Dory which reunites the friendly fish with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way. It sounds as delightful and uplifting as the central character herself. DeGeneres will reprise her role as Dory, whilst many new voices entire the computer-antimated framework including Elba, West, Keaton, Ty Burrell and Eugene Levy, but don't fret: Albert Brooks' wonderful Marlin is back too. The studio are enjoying a greatly prosperous 2015 right now; Inside Out is currently the third highest-grossing film of the year and will undoubtedly win the Academy Award, whilst The Good Dinosaur is getting ready to roar into multiplexes next month. Pixar's game looks set to remain seriously strong across the coming years having announced a number of eagerly-awaited titles, and the deep-sea dive will kick-start their 2016 campaign with a gigantic splash.
