20 Films That Will Define 2016

1. Hail, Caesar!

Release Date: 5th February (US) - 26th February (UK) Director: Joel & Ethan Coen Starring: Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Ralph Fiennes The marvellous twosome are back in the saddle. After the unequivocal beauty of Inside Llewyn Davis, the Coens now turn their creative excellence to the Hollywood studio system with Hail, Caesar! - without doubt the film to beat next year. Set following World War II in the height of American cinematic prowess, a company fixer works to keep the flamboyant actors in-line, but faces a rare challenge when one of the biggest stars is kidnapped whilst shooting a major motion picture. Trust Joel and Ethan to imagine up a darn caper film inside such a beautifully immersive environment. They could have formed their latest to rival the likes of The Artist, but instead they opt to push the thematic boat out further and journey across wonderfully enchanted waters. A powerful cast including Brolin, Clooney, Johansson, Fiennes, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and even Dolph Lundgren (seriously...) leads what promises to be a brightly funny and fizzy watch. The trailer debuted late last week and ever since then it has been official: Hail, Caesar! is 2016's definer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMqeoW3XRa0 Which of these films are you most excited about?
