20 Greatest Ending Lines in Film History

2. Some Like It Hot

"Well, nobody's perfect!" Every minute of Some Like It Hot is filled with note-perfect dialogue, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that it has a great closing line. But the ending to this movie is nothing short of iconic. Joe and Jerry have managed to escape the Chicago mob, and are making a quick getaway with Jerry's oblivious millionaire fiance, Osgood Fielding III. Jerry is trying his best to break it off with Osgood (this is 1960, after all), but he's having none of it, with a cheerful answer to every reason Jerry has for them not to be wed. Finally, he rips off his wig and admits that he is, in fact, a man. Osgood's response? A totally nonplussed, "Well, nobody's perfect!"
