20 Greatest Ever Horror Movie Villains

16. Frank (Sean Chapman/ Oliver Smith) - Hellraiser (1987)

Forget Pinhead €“ the real villain in Clive Barker€™s movie isn€™t a Cenobite but a man. From the moment we first see him, Frank is best described as €œa bit of a bast*rd.€ Not content with showing up unannounced, he proceeds to seduce his brother€™s wife, then vanishes without trace on his quest to find Lemarchand€™s box. Julia (Clare Higgins) is usually perceived as the villain of the piece, but without Frank she€™d still be having flings behind her husband€™s back. It€™s Frank whose greed and lust for power sets the plot in motion and in whose name Julia is prepared to kill. She€™s merely a means to an end, and in the finale, she€™s cast aside as such. He also has one of the most audacious schemes in horror movie history. In order to escape the Cenobites, he kills his brother and €“ get this €“ assumes his identity by wearing his skin. He€™s rumbled of course, but he goes out with a great line: €œJesus wept!€
