There's one scene from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse that you're guaranteed to remember above all others, and that's surely the iconic "leap of faith" sequence, where Miles Morales' Spider-Man is well and truly born.

As Blackway and Black Caviar's "What's Up Danger" plays out, Miles finally musters up the confidence to make a heroic leap from a building, after which he flies through the air and starts swinging through New York City.

It's a masterful combination of eye-popping animation, a fantastic musical choice, and note-perfect character development that ensures this is the flawless culmination of a hero's journey.

Perhaps best of all, it's a scene so heightened and vivid that it couldn't be achieved in live-action with the same hypnotic power.
