20 Greatest Moments From Spider-Man Movies

18. The School Fight - The Amazing Spider-Man

The Amazing Spider-Man is easily the least-memorable of all the Spider-Man movies to date: a competently made and well-acted film, but one that suffers due to its unambitious script and mediocre villain in Lizard (Rhys Ifans).

The film does boast a snazzy action sequence, though, when Spidey battles Lizard at Midtown High after the creature shows up to the school in pursuit of Peter after learning his identity.

Despite the amount of time we spend in schools in Spider-Man movies, it's a pretty unconventional setting for a fight with the primary villain, and so director Marc Webb makes the most of the unique environment to deliver a dynamic and exciting slug-fest.

The easy highlight, though, comes when the pair brawl into the library, where none other than Stan Lee is listening to music and hilariously completely oblivious to the carnage unfolding behind him.
