An operatic masterpiece of the utmost quality and cinematic merit (something made so by way of Ennio Morricone's unforgettable score), Once Upon a Time in the West hinges on a mysterious Harmonica-playing gunslinger (Charles Bronson) and his quest for revenge against a notorious outlaw (Henry Fonda), who find themselves connected through a former prostitute (Claudia Cardinale) and a bandit (Jason Robards).

To list everything great about Once Upon a Time in the West would take up far too many paragraphs, but suffice to say this is the most gripping, enigmatic, thrilling and beautiful revenge movies ever made; indeed, revenge provides just one of its many plotlines, but it is also the driving force that gives the picture purpose.
