20 Greatest Sidekicks In Film History

10. Fezzik - The Princess Bride

Is it possible that there are human people out there who don't find Fezzik hopelessly endearing? A huge part of that comes from the fact that he was played by Andre the Giant, whose levels of unassuming charm and likability were off the charts. He was just this sweet, well-intentioned guy who, despite working for a Sicilian criminal, greatly valued sportsmanship and fair play. How can you not love a guy who, when ordered to kill someone, intentionally misses hitting him with a rock so that they can have a fair fight? Although he worked for Vizzini, his loyalty is ultimately to Inigo Montoya, who is not only a coworker but a friend. And he's more than willing to throw his lot in with the Man in Black, and risk life and limb so that he can rescue Princess Buttercup.
