20 Greatest Sidekicks In Film History

20. Charles Del Mar - Better Off Dead

Everything about this movie is the height of absurd comedy, and that's a huge part of its charm. In a world where the main character has a little brother named Badger who is secretly studying how to build lasers and pick up women, a homicidal newspaper boy roams the streets on his bicycle, and there's a pair of Japanese brothers hell bent on drag-racing, Curtis Armstrong as Charles Del Mar almost comes off as the normal one. Setting aside the fact that the 32-year-old actor was somehow supposed to be believable as a high school student, Del Mar is a hilarious addition to the ensemble, although he apparently doesn't realize that the snow on mountains is not, in fact, cocaine. But hey, who hasn't made that mistake before?
