20 Hidden Facts That Prove Man Of Steel Is The Most Trivia Filled Film Of 2013

17. No Jimmy (Or Jenny) Olsen

Olsen Less something that€™s hidden, rather something that€™s missing all together. In previous Superman universes, Jimmy Olsen is a photographer at the Daily Planet and, after Lois, Clark and Perry White, the most prominent character from the paper. Which is why it€™s very odd that he doesn't appear in Man Of Steel in any form. It was originally assumed that Rebecca Bullen€™s typical damsel in distress was going to be Jenny Olsen, a female switch on the character, but now the film's arrived that€™s clearly fans just jumping on her first name. Although if Jenny Jurwich was intended to fill the space Jimmy left, we have no idea; none of the Planet staff received enough development for us to figure it out.

16. Both Of Clark's Dads Are Robin Hood

Robin You can count on heroes to have a Dad with a pretty cool job; Indiana Jones had James Bond, Captain Kirk had Thor and Luke Skywalker had the Green Cross Code man. Clark Kent's an odd one; even though he has two fathers, they both have had the same job. Back before he became an actor associated with total flops, Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) was a hot property. Coming off the massive Dances With Wolves, he went on to star in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves. Not to be outdone by a human, Russell Crowe also starred as the man in tights (this time without the tights) in 2010's Robin Hood. Prince Of Thieves was better received, but both have their fans; it's a shame (even with Crowe's extended appearance) the two Robins didn't get to share any screen time.
