20 Hidden Horror Gems On Netflix

14. Cold Skin

The Babysitter Netflix
Samuel Goldwyn Films

Starting a new job is always a tough time. Starting a job on the edge of the world in the arctic circle is arguably even tougher, and that's without the added stress of a bunch of weird monsters coming out the woodwork to trap you indoors whilst you're trying to check out the sky. But that's exactly what a young man gets when he travels to take over a position of a weather observer, isolated in the icy wilderness by a group of deadly beings unknown to the outside world.

Cold Skin has an incredible atmosphere, pushing its visuals as something both terrifying and mesmerising as the creatures continually assault the lighthouse. With nowhere to run and few places to hide, the characters are forced to figure out how to survive one night at a time, but how do you escape monsters born to reclaim their land?
