This shockingly brutal South Korean horror drama focuses on a woman who, after becoming a witness in a murder case, decides to move to a remote and underdeveloped island where she used to visit her grandparents.

Once there, she is shocked to find that everyone treats a girl she had once befriended practically as a slave, with the men using her as a plaything and the women as a free source of labour.

After many failed attempts to leave, the now grown girl asks the woman for her help but she refuses and so the girl takes it in her own desperate hands to leave the island for the sake of her young daughter.

What follows provides for some truly shocking, watch-through-your-fingers brutality that's pretty full on even by the standard of modern South Korean cinema.
