Jared Leto has form for having terrible things happen to him in films. Which is good news for people who hate the pretty boy actor, who won an Oscar for being brave enough to put on a dress and make-up in lieu of an actual trans actor being hired. Face pummelled in Fight Club, arm and leg amputated in Requiem For A Dream, shot in the foot in Panic Room The absolute pinnacle of bad things happening to Jared Leto, though, has to be the strangely unknown and underrated sci-fi drama Mr Nobody. There, Leto stars as a 118-year-old man, the last mortal being on Earth after the rest of the human race has achieved immortality, leaving him behind to be sad and old and dying. Haha. A lot of the film is just Letos Nemo Nobody sulking about how crappy his life was (multiple divorces, not allowed to be immortal, etc), but it also employs some quantum theory in looking at how his life may have gone differently, based on the many worlds theory. Its like Sliding Doors, only more apocalyptic than romantic.
