Chart Position: 16th Worldwide Gross: $440,603,537 Never mind the ridiculous spelling of "genysis", the latest instalment of the long-past-its-sell-by-date Terminator series is a complete abomination, washing away any lasting memories of how great the original two films were in a sea of pointless bastardisation. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger's worst incarnation yet, a woefully miscast Emilia Clarke, and a Jai Courtney performance so insipid it makes Nick Stahl's in Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines look like a masterclass, the fifth entry in the franchise is far and way the worst yet - and that's saying something when you remember just how awful Terminator Salvation is. Actively going against the plot strands put in place by the preceding Terminator films, Genysis is just outright confusing, and, moreover, the special effects are considerably worse than those featured in James Cameron's masterpiece, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, a film that was released way back in 1991.
