Release Date: July 25th Though the record of WWE wrestlers in movies isn't enviable by any means, Dwayne The Rock Johnson has transcended the traditional limits of his background to carve a career on screen, thanks to matching his physical prowess with a disarming charm. Sadly, that appeal is often wasted (as it was back with The Scorpion King) and Rocky ends up playing muscle-bound meat-bags on a mission, which is pretty much exactly what he's doing for Brett Ratner in this Herculean adaptation. The redeeming element is definitely that the film is based on comic book Hercules: The Thracian Wars, but strictly speaking, the film will pull in audiences because they still eat up swords and sands epics, and The Rock is a big enough draw on his own to fill seat without any expectations of quality. The Selling Point: The Rock is pretty much perfectly cast, as long as the script isn't just toilet paper. The Concerns: It's Conan by another name, mixed with Clash Of The Titans, and directed by Brett Ratner, who isn't exactly shy of making bad movies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iau1IYwxKXY
