Back in May 2018, Deadline announced that Stephen King's short story The Gingerbread Girl is heading to the big screen from Craig R Baxley, whose worked with King before and which will be written by the director and King himself.

The story follows a woman recovering from a recent loss and is isolating herself from friends and family and focusing her grief into her running. She makes the mistake of prying into the behaviour of a man called Pickering, who it turns out is a killer and who turns his crosshairs onto her. It's basically your typical cat and mouse affair, which we just don't see enough of these days.
