3. Samuel L. Jackson (Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children)
The Role: Jackson is currently credited as "Barron" and "The Wight", the latter of which suggests he's playing one of the film's supernatural, humanoid-looking beings, possibly Dr. Golan, given that Mr. Barron is one of his aliases in the book. Why It's Unexpected: Samuel L. Jackson in a Tim Burton movie? This just doesn't seem like something that fits for some reason: they're two artists most thought would never cross paths for sure. Will It Work?: Uh, yeah. Assuming the film is actually decent and not another Burton bust (the source material is strong), Jackson will deliver just like he almost always does. There's little doubt.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
