Seen as an almost spiritual sequel or at least the perfect double biller to Scarface, De Palma's Carlito's Way is a film about an ex-mob man trying to get out of the mob game despite the pressures that entice him back (not for the first time). Al Pacino gives another great performance as Carlito Brigante in a film that is often overlooked or underrated by many. Iconic Moment: Carlito is apprehended by police and played a tape of his friend and lawyer, Kleinfeld, cutting a deal and offering to testify to false criminal allegations against Carlito. After leaving the station, Carlito decides to pay his old friend a visit in hospital. After admitting to Carlito that he sold him out, Klienfeld is left alone in his hospital bed to defend himself using his trusty revolver against assassins who want his blood for an earlier murder. Carlito condemns his ex-friend to certain death with the line; "Adios, Councillor" as he coolly throws the bullets from his gun in a trash can.
