12. The X-Men Bring Nightcrawler With Them To Meet The President - X2

Another Nightcrawler-based nitpick here, though he's not entirely to blame.

At the end of X2, the X-Men go to meet with the President of the United States to ease tensions between the mutants and the humans. All the gang's there, of course, but why did Professor X allow - of all the mutants - Nightcrawler to come along? He was the guy who tried to murder the President in the opening scene! So although this meeting didn't end in a total and utter bloodbath, surely it wasn't worth taking the risk?

Not to mention the fact that Nightcrawler looks positively evil in this scene. It's almost akin to John Wilkes Boothshowing up at Abraham Lincoln's birthday party, had he missed the fatal shot: awkward and highly unnecessary in every way imaginable. Somebody - anybody - really should have told the guy to stay home.
